High School Program

Talk to Youth Education Coordinator, Linda Wagner, (413) 298-3926 about a customized tour of the Botanical Gardens for your high school. The garden can be used as a classroom to explore aspects of  horticulture, maintenance, hygiene and organization of a mature botanical garden. Specifics of such visits will depend on the horticultural staff's schedule but may include discussions with the gardeners, demonstrations and practical activities such as propagation and pruning.
Students from the Communities in School Academy in Schenectady, New York meet in the propagation greenhouse with Berkshire Botanical Garden propagator and gardener Lou Kratt.
