For generations, the Harvest Festival has been a cherished tradition in the Berkshires. Originally conceived as a harvest-season family and community festival, it is one of the largest and longest running events of its kind in the country. The Festival is a celebration of community, showcasing local artisans, supporting local services, and promoting a wide array of superb Berkshire area products. Also of particular regional interest, this year’s Harvest Festival will feature a Farmers Market with the best Berkshire grown foods. The Harvest Festival supports educational programs at the Garden.
Crafts galore
The Harvest Festival is the premier showcase for many local artisans and crafters, such as blacksmiths and spinners demonstrating their skills. The focus on the handcrafted features 60+ of the most gifted (and reasonably priced) artisans and crafters from Massachusetts and surrounding New England — jewelers, ceramicists, photographers, weavers and much more.
Fabulous Food
The Harvest Food Court and Botanical Bakery offers up oodles of tasty distinctive food, such as Grilled Sour Dough Pizza and freshly baked Apple Streusel Pie. The festival also features fabulous local food artisans, producing handmade chocolates and more, as well as an array of local farmer vendors at our new Farmers Market. (So pick up some goodies to take home!)
Music and Entertainment
The stage will be weekend, including a Banjo and Fiddle Duo, a Swing Jazz Quartet, Songs for the Kids and much more. And look for buskers roaming the grounds with magic tricks and more down home music for all. (Full music schedule posted below soon!)
Kids Activities
The Festival is famous for kid’s fun, including The Famous Hay Jump (and maze), Hoola Hooping, Face Painting, Balloon Animals, The Zucchini Ride, Child-Friendly Farm Animals, Mini-Golf, the Pocket Lady, and a full tent of kid’s crafts!
Fabulous Silent Action, Giant Tag, Clothing, Jewelry and Book Sale
Don’t miss these for exciting auction items and great sale “finds” too!
