Join a study group at the Berkshire Botanical Garden to consider plant groups of particular interest to the staff. Look first at new and unusual spring and early summer perennials (January 15). The following week will investigate conifers for small garden settings (January 22). The final class will focus on garden-worthy summer and fall bulbs (January 29). The classes can be taken individually or as a series.
Wednesday, January 22: Small, Green and Beautiful: Conifers for Small Gardens
Investigate the petite side of evergreens with an in-depth look at those conifers that can manage in the small garden. Look at a survey of Thuja, Tsuga, Juniperus, Picea, Abies, Pinus and more that add year-round interest in shape, color, texture and growth habit.
