Berkshire Botanical Garden

Welcome late summer and early fall with calendula, a beloved herbal ally. In this hands-on workshop on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 2 to 4 p.m., and led by Nicole Irene, you’ll create plant-infused skincare using calendula and seasonal companion herbs. Learn the essentials of herbal oil infusion and turn your blends into a salve, lip balm and botanical perfume oil roller. We’ll cover herb selection, carrier oils, and safe infusion and preservation techniques, along with traditional uses and gentle energetics for skin support. Enjoy herbal tea and community in a relaxed setting as you build a small home apothecary. You’ll leave with three finished products and the confidence to keep working with herbs at home. All materials included; no experience needed.

Nicole Irene holds a master’s degree in fine art, two herbal certifications from Dandelion Herbal Center and Sage Mountain Botanical Sanctuary, and is a Reiki-trained ordained minister. Nicole has a love for local farms and sustainable, organic agriculture, and enjoys cooking nourishing meals and experimenting with her own herbal preparations at her home in Stockbridge. She has a deep passion for helping to grow the relationships we hold with our food, the earth and the cosmos. Learn more about Nicole Irene at NicoleIreneArt.com and TheEnchantedAltar.com.
