This class has been cancelled.

Led by former BBG Director of Education Chris Wellens, this four-hour online program will give first-year beekeepers the tools they need to start off their new hobby on the right foot. Topics will include honey bee biology and health, hive installation, and hive management through the seasons. Suggested supplementary texts: The Beekeepers Handbook by Diana Sammataro and Alphonse Avitabile, and The Backyard Beekeeper by Kim Flottum.

Our online classes are offered over Zoom. Students receive class login information and materials lists, when applicable, once registered.

Advance registration is highly recommended.
