The Quieting: A Meditation Gathering to Welcome Winter's Energy

When:
Dec. 2, 2023 Midnight
Where:

Berkshire Botanical Garden

Led by mindfulness-in-nature facilitator Sandrine Harris, students will gather by candlelight at sunset for this nourishing process of quiet, guided meditation on Dec. 2, from 4 to 5 p.m. Moments of dynamic talking, poetry, and listening are balanced with deep quiet and inner celebration of the gift of slowing down for deep winter. All adults (18+) are welcome, and no experience with mindfulness or meditation is needed. This process takes place inside the gallery space, with chairs for sitting.

Sandrine Harris is a trauma-sensitive mindfulness meditation facilitator with a deep interest in sensing our connection within the natural world. She offers a connective and unfolding process within the Berkshires through regular community programs at The Trustees’ properties, Berkshire Natural Resources Council properties, and the Berkshire Botanical Garden. Sandrine is also a somatic (body-centered) practitioner offering private sessions to process trauma and chronic pain, and workshops, and trainings internationally. She is based in the southern Berkshires, and is nourished by meditative experiences outdoors. Her process is collectively known as Emergent Nature.
