Thank You!

Harvest Festival 2026 is history, and we are so grateful for the help and support BBG received from so many in our region to make this event happen. It truly takes a village to bring this celebration of Fall to life on our grounds every year.

We had more than 100 food, craft, and community vendors on site this year. Our ever popular hay and pony rides were back, as was an expanded Scarecrow Walk and our spooky Haunted House, this year situated in BBG’s living maze. We featured live entertainment and educational opportunities galore and a new “Harvest Basket” competition. And many thousands of visitors came over two days, despite some wet weather on Sunday.

Thank You to Our Major Sponsors

And last but not least ...

BBG runs on Volunteer Power, and nowhere more so than during Harvest Festival! I am so grateful to the large number of volunteers who helped out again this year, whether by baking special treats for the Botanical Bakery, selling tickets for our children’s activities, or making sure our grounds were spotless, as part of the “BBG Green Team.” I always enjoy seeing familiar faces at their appointed stations, and look forward to saying “hi” to volunteer “newbies”. As always, our wonderful BBG Volunteer Association, led by BBG Trustee Lauretta Harris and Volunteer Manager Arielle Coon, helped us maintain the highest level of volunteer engagement and excitement.  Thank you all!

To everyone who played roles both big and small at this year’s Harvest Festival, we know we cannot thank each of you individually, but want to highlight some of those who went the extra mile to make it all happen:

Catherine Bohrman, Cathy Clark, Rick Johnson, Master Gardeners of Western MA, Sally Soluri, Stockbridge Highway Department, Stockbridge Police Department, Fire Department and Emergency Management Team, Taft Farms, Tom Touponce, and many more.

I would also like to acknowledge and thank a special few who dedicated many hours of their time preparing for (and participating in) the Festival, including Janet Laudenslager (Botanical Baker extraordinaire), Faye Morgan-Amidon (Finance), the Senior Class of 2026 of Monument Mountain High School (Haunted House), the BBG Herb Associates, and the many dedicated members of the Lenox Garden Club (Accessorize/Jewelry).

This Festival is made possible by the tireless work of BBG’s Director of Special Events, Danielle Pellerin, who once again ensured a very smooth operation from start to finish. Danielle is enjoying some well-deserved time off this week, but I look forward to working with her on BBG’s next big event when she returns!

Gratefully,

Michael Beck
