Our Garden runs on Volunteer power. We have opportunities in every area of the Garden to interest and engage you.

Consider the possibilities—you can be a hands-on gardener, working with a team to keep our display beds thriving. You can be a tour guide, helping visitors experience unique aspects of the Garden, or a docent in our beautiful Leonhardt Galleries featuring exhibitions of botanical-themed art.

You can greet guests at our Visitor Center, or work “backstage” on various administrative tasks. Or you can volunteer at some of our delightful special events throughout the year.

Limited time? You can be a BBG Volunteer for as little as one 4-hour shift at our famous Harvest Festival, or participate here on a weekly basis. The level of your commitment is up to you.

However you choose to volunteer, your help will be deeply appreciated. We reward our Volunteers with an annual Recognition party, vouchers for our educational programs, and other special events and perks.

We invite you to experience the joy of the Garden as a BBG Volunteer!
