Berkshire Botanical Garden
In this talk held on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., we will explore the current biodiversity crisis and the evolutionary relationships among native plants, insects, birds, and fungi that support ecosystem survival. Learn how native plantings and ecological landscape practices can restore biodiversity, build resilience, and help slow climate change, while creating beautiful, thriving gardens. (Heidi Dollard, co-Chair of the Massachusetts Pollinator Network, will substitute for instructor Amy Meltzer)
Amy Meltzer is Co-Chair of the Steering Committee of the Massachusetts Pollinator Network, is an active member of Grow Native Massachusetts, and is on the Elders Climate Action Research Team. She has been researching and growing native plants for over twelve years.
