Summer Watercolor with Perspective
Berkshire Botanical Garden
Perspective: the art of drawing solid objects on a two dimensional surface so as to suggest the correct relationship between planes. The BBG buildings provide perfect subjects for this challenging summer session, from Martha Stewart’s cottage, the Mother Earth Lodge, the Fitzpatrick Greenhouse, Toolshed, Center House, et al. It is not about mechanical drawing or architecture; rather about painting shapes and shadows suggesting believable structures. As suggested in the Spring session, you are encouraged to sketch and photograph subjects around the campus in person. Join Pat Hogan from Wed., June 24 to Wed., July 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a summer watercolor series at Berkshire Botanical Garden.
