Crafting Wellness from Nature: Fire Cider and Elderberry Syrup Make-and-Take Workshop
Berkshire Botanical Garden
Join herbalist, artist and ritualist Nicole Irene for a hands-on workshop celebrating the art of traditional herbal medicine on Saturday, Feb. 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. In this lively and creative session, you’ll learn to craft two cherished immune-supporting remedies — fire cider and elderberry syrup — while exploring the history and healing properties behind each. In this make-and-take workshop, you will:
- learn the origins, benefits and uses of fire cider and elderberry syrup;
- follow guided, step-by-step demonstrations to make both remedies from scratch;
- enjoy a collaborative, creative atmosphere as you mix, chop, blend, and bottle; and
- take home one bottle of each remedy, plus the knowledge to make them again
Perfect for anyone curious about herbal wellness, this class invites you to roll up your sleeves, get a little messy and experience the magic of crafting your own plant-powered medicine.
