Have you always wanted to start your own seeds? Seed staring is an affordable way to propagate edible and ornamental plants for your garden. In this one-hour online class, you’ll learn techniques for successful seed starting at home. Led by BBG’s new Director of Horticulture Matt Turnbull

Our online classes are offered over Zoom. Students receive class login information and materials lists, when applicable, once they’ve registered. 

Advance registration is highly recommended.


Matthew Turnbull is the Director of Horticulture at Berkshire Botanical Garden and a graduate of the Professional Gardener Program at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Prior to taking the position to lead the horticulture team at BBG, he served as Assistant Director of Horticulture at Wave Hill and as the National Heritage Garden Manager at the South Carolina Botanical Garden.
