Join Dan Furman of Cricket Hill Garden to explore the world of peonies. This 2.5-hour online class will cover the botany and cultivation history of the various types of peonies from China, Japan, and the US. Attendees will learn how to create a successful peony garden, including growing requirements for New England. Additionally, Dan will bring us on a virtual tour of his garden to see a variety of cultivars in bloom. A unique opportunity to learn from one of the North East’s premier peony growers.

Our online classes are offered over Zoom. Students receive class login information and materials lists, when applicable, once registered.

Advance registration is highly recommended.

Dan Furman is a second-generation peony grower at Cricket Hill Garden in Thomaston, CT. Since joining the business in 2010, he has worked to expand the peony hybridization and production programs at the nursery. In addition to peonies, he is interested in growing pawpaws, persimmons, Asian pears, and other unusual fruits in Northwestern Connecticut.
